Nashville Library Teen Site
| Check http://www.library.nashville.org/teens/teenweb.asp for teens. Great ideas for what to do in your library for the teens. Found it on The Untamed Librarian website. My local library does a good job ith the childrens' programs but the teens' programs are lacking. It is usually an afterthought kind of program and not enough of them to get a real pattern going for bringing in that age. |

I agree that many libraries often struggle to get teens interested. Welcome to my life. What about the 20-something crowd? I don't think I have ever seen a library program geared to this demographic. I imagine this would be a very difficult age group to focus on... but, why isn't anyone trying? I know that rejection is hard and setting up a program just to have it shot down is not fun. But, I know of PLENTY of 20-somethings who don't have anything to do... why wouldn't they go to the library? (I know I would.)
